Most Embrassing Moments

Mr.Senner: My first year of teaching I was doing attendance with a class and somebody asked me what my middle name is. My middle name is Theodore and I don't like my middle name. So I said “I don’t really like my middle name so I don't want to say what it is”. After some pressing I confessed that it was Theodore. I continued going through the attendance sheet and it turned out there was a Theodore in my class! So that was very embarrassing and I apologized.

Brittney: Once I was in a coffee shop ordering from the Barista and I called him mom.

Claire: I was reading my report card which was straight A’s when I ran into a post.

Gord: So not last year but the year before when I first started with Highland they asked me to be Santa Claus. I said “yeah, sure I’ll be Santa Claus”. You got the big Tummy so they want you to be Santa. So I put on my Santa Claus outfit and I had this little machine that I use as my sled. I had these two young girls who were going to be my elves standing, waiting for the cue to go into the gym. When all of a sudden something doesn't feel right on my costume. I look down and my pants are down around my ankles. Thank god I had underwear on. Thank god. The girls were laughing so hard they had to cross their legs so that they wouldn’t pee their pants. Thank god nobody took a picture and labelled it as bad santa or dirty santa. That was probably the most embarrassing moment I have had.

Riley: So in grade 4 I had some girls chasing me and trying to give me a kiss, because you know Im kind of a ladies man. Anyways I was trying to evade them and I remember I sat down behind a bush and sat down in some dog poo. I got up and I was running around dog poo on my butt until a guy came up to me and said “you have dog poo on your butt”. I was like “oh crap”. So I cried and then went home for the rest of the day.

Mr.Dixon: Alright, before I started school I was one of those kids that ran around relatively clothed. Barefeet and bare chested most of the time. And suddenly I was informed I was going to this place called school where you had to wear shoes inside. Which was weird, and you had to keep your shirt on. apparently. I was informed of all of this just before I went to school. I was so terrified of school that I neglected to pee before school so I had to go pretty bad by the time we got to school.

Getting to school i realized I had forgotten my indoor shoes and tried to hide my outdoor feet and went to play in a little centre. We played with little hats, fireman hats and some blocks. Along came the person who would eventually be my best friend, henry. Super cute kid, long weird hair- the bowl cut and a  cowboy shirt and overalls with shiny buttons. He crawled over and sat

there watching me and asked if he could play. So I said “no”, He sat there and watched me for a little bit longer but something must have happened because he went and picked up a block or something. So I punched him in the nose. Marks nose exploded, there was blood everywhere. I would like to reiterate that Mark and I became very good friends. The teacher, Ms.Griffiths, who weighed about 4000 pounds had a head exactly th right shape for a grapefruit yelled. Ms. Griffiths could shake the ground when she walked, but when she yelled she made the room shake. I shook, I was terrified. I got sent down to the principal's office. The principal, who was a very nice man with a deep cigar and bourbon  kind of voice smelled kind of like pipe smoke, so I walked into his office I was a little guy on one side of the desk and he was on the other.Im dating myself here but he pulls out a paddle with holes in it  and puts it on top of his desk. He says to me “what did you do”?

“I punched Mark”

“Well are you going to do it again”?

“No”

Well you can go back to class then. Well i kind of found my way back, I should have gone to the bathroom as I hadn’t gone yet. So when I get back to kindergarten I sit down beside the only carpet space available beside this girl called Carina Rose, who I ended up developing a huge crush on by the time I got to grade three. She was beautiful, she was so beautiful. I sat down next to Carina Rose and I looked over at her completely enraptured and there she was, picking her nose. It was  the perfect moment, she pulled it out, looking at whatever she’d pulled out. Gold I'm sure. I couldn't help myself, i kissed Carina Rose on the cheek. Then I heard that voice again. TONNYYY. And I peed, it was the single most embarrassing and humiliating moment of my life.

The Comox Valley is known to be one of the most beautiful places in British Columbia, featuring gorgeous beaches, provincial parks and of course Mount Washington. However, there are many people in the area that, have no idea about some locations that everyone should visit! Heres a list of spots in the area that everyone should visit.

MacMillan Provincial Park: MacMillan provincial park is home to Cathedral grove, which boasts ancient Douglas fir trees, many of them over 800 years old. Visitors can walk through extensive trails under huge trees, isolated from the busyness of the rest of the world. The park is split into two sides; North and South of the highway. Residing on the southern side of the park are the Douglas Firs, the largest measuring a grand total of 9 metres in circumference. The northern side overlooks Cameron Lake with groves of ancient Western red cedar on the walk.

Strathcona Provincial Park: This park is British Columbia's first provincial dating back to 1911, now known as one of the Island's most beautiful landscapes with well known hiking trails, lakes and the iconic glacier. A popular destination at the park are the Lady Falls, which after a rainstorm occasionally cascades off of the rocks and along the roads. The falls are only a 15 minute walk from the road and the trail boast plenty of memorable scenery!

Royston Wrecks: The remains of several historic ships can be seen at the Royston Wrecks. Going to the beach alongside the Old Island highway at low tide will give a pristine view of some ships, including the Riversdale; a three masted ship originating from Scotland in 1894. If you want to take your experience  a step further renting kayaks and paddling alongside these ships would be an amazing and unforgettable  experience.

Mount Albert Edward: These trails are an excellent choice any time of the year. At 2093 metres this mountain is one of the most accessible.  Snowshoeing in the winter, or a hiking/ camping combo trek in the summer would make an excellent trip. There is camping available on the sides of Lake Helen Mckenzie, Kwai Lake and Circlet Lake, ranging from a 3 km to 10 km hike. No only are views and lakes beautiful but Circlet lake is an excellent fishing destination! The hikes go through Paradise Meadows and continues ascending to the summit where you will be greeted with a view of the snow covered peaks.

Medicine Bowls: The Medicine bowls are found at the Browns River.

If you are going to visit the medicine bowls be sure your car can handle rough roads otherwise it’s a fifteen minutes walk in. This spot features large waterfalls and swimming holes. The bowls have both swimming holes and views like no other. This spot is a must see!

This video features one of the largest bowl

Willemar Lake: This spot is best known for its fishing due to its unique rainshadow effect. The lower annual rainfall found here prevents the flushing of the lakes nutrients meaning the Lake is stocked with a large array of fish, such as rainbow, cutthroat and Dolly Varden to name a few.

Elk Falls: This provincial parks is one of the most popular on the island, once you see the thundering waterfall, forest trails and year round salmon, the reasons for its popularity is clear. We recommend going fishing in the morning and hiking to the the Elk falls day area, the area includes family friendly walking trails and the 25 meter waterfall.

Miracle Beach Provincial Park: There are few places in Comox that can beat this family destination. The park features a sandy beach free of the usual painful rocks on Valley beaches. At low tide, tide pools and marine life emerge which prove a fascinating experience. The park is located between Courtenay and Campbell River. Throughout the park there is about 2 kilometers of trails. The trails generally begin at the north beach parking lot. Most popular trails follow Black Creek or the Estuary.
